Annual Christmas LecturePosted on: December 10th 2019
Annual Christmas Lecture for Young People, by Professor Danielle George, University of Manchester.
Danielle George is a Professor in Microwave Communication Engineering and is the Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
Year 12 Geographers attended the Annual Christmas Lecture for Young People at the University of Manchester. The title for this year’s lecture was “The Avalanche Experience”. It was an extremely interesting and informative lecture about how we are using science, technology and robotics to help and support people in the 21st Century. There were some especially interesting sections for geographers about sending robots into disaster and emergency zones to support humanitarian aid.
It was a really rewarding university experience for all our students who attended.
